Gather supporting documents
We collect the rental agreement registered with the Tax Authority or a residence certificate from the local parish council, depending on your situation.
Tax & Finance
Update your registered tax address with Portugal’s Tax Authority and review your tax representation arrangements where necessary.
Overview
Changing your tax address involves notifying the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority that you have moved your tax residence to Portugal. When you move into long-term rental accommodation or a home you own, updating the address on record helps ensure that your tax information reflects your circumstances and allows you to review whether previous tax representation remains necessary.
Important to know
An outdated tax address can lead to tax-related issues and prevent important official correspondence from reaching you, potentially affecting administrative and residence procedures.
How it works
We collect the rental agreement registered with the Tax Authority or a residence certificate from the local parish council, depending on your situation.
We initiate the address update on the official Tax Portal using your new accommodation details.
Where applicable, the Tax Authority sends a letter containing a verification code to your new address in Portugal.
We help enter the verification code and finalize the address change, including any necessary adjustments to tax representation.
